Welcome to Troop 80
At the heart of Norfolk community
About Us
Troop 80 has been active in the Norfolk community for over 20 years and is a member of the Mayflower Council. We are a charter of the Federated Church that stands proud in the center of our town.
While Norfolk may be small, our troop is very well attended with currently over 40 boys on our roster.
We welcome boys aged 11-18 into the Boy Scout organization with a friendly smile and the opportunity to learn new skills, go on exciting adventures and give back to the community in which they live.
We meet every Sunday, 7:00 - 8:30pm at the Federated Church Hall.
Our Mission
Troop 80's Principles of Scouting
EXPERIENCE
We believe that the strongest life & leadership skills come through peer-led training and activities. Adult leaders are always on hand to advise and guide, but the scouts lead the troop.
FRIENDSHIP
We strive to build an open and honest scouting family that empowers boys to explore, practice and succeed together as they make their way along the path to Eagle Scout.
OUTDOORS
We promote ‘Learning by Doing’ as the hallmark of outdoor education. Regular fresh-air activities let Troop 80 scouts acquire skills that make them more self-reliant and encourages a healthier lifestyle.
COMMUNITY
We deliver a dedicated tradition of serving our local community. Working alongside other organizations strongly develops the scouts' sense of ethics and humanitarianism, while providing key services to others.
