MEMORIAL DAY PARADE

Updated: May 27, 2019

Troop 80 marched with the town of Norfolk this morning to honor the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives during military service. The weather was glorious and I am sure the ice cream tubs that the scouts handed out at the end of the parade were most welcome! As too were the donuts and cheese (Must remember to unearth the origins of that unusual combination - Anyone on the blog know?)

While we had a healthy number of boys marching in their Class A shirts, there were many more dedicated young scouts marching elsewhere in the parade, mostly with the KP band. The Troop also had a scout take part in the reading of the Gettysburg address at the cemetery. The boys did themselves, their families, the town and the memories of those past - proud. 👍🏻
